Marney’s store is beloved both by local people and by thousands of visitors to the Florida Keys.
For over 35 years she has provided healthy meals specializing in vegan and vegetarian. The store has been a spiritual healing oasis for people living in and visiting the Keys. You may have attended some of her events including the Free Box Fashion Show and Intuitive Arts Fair.
On Sept 10, 2017 Hurricane Irma roared through Big Pine Key, FL with 130 mph winds and a huge storm surge that flooded the store with over a foot of water and over 3 feet of water in her Atlantis Holistic Health Center.
Power was out for 2 weeks and when Marney returned, she found water and deep mud everywhere, roof leaking, damaged ceilings, floors buckling, refrigerators and freezers broken and thousands of dollars of rotting produce, frozen food and destroyed merchandise.
Atlantis Health Center is a near total loss as a 35 year collection of rare healing books and specialized healing instruments and esthetic equipment has been wiped out.
Marney is devastated yet determined to bring back Good Food Conspiracy and the Health Center.
